Just being completely honest. This is the general consensus on campus- Also to PNMs the cold hard truth is that yes some people will talk badly about the bottom tier sororities simply because they are bottom tier. You might even get a few comments to your face about your sororities ranking and some frats won’t want to social/will talk badly about you. On the flip side, if you’re in a top sorority you will have guys who want to get with you or date you simply because of the sorority you’re in…. which is not great. Overall, sororities can be cliquey so if you do plan to join one make sure you make friends quickly. With all that in mind sororities are a time commitment, expensive and have a lot to offer- So make sure you don’t exclusively join a sorority based on rankings because you’re going to be there for the next few years and be paying quite a bit. Make sure it’s one where you genuinely enjoy the people and that you’re proud to be joining.
