I did this same thing as you as a freshman and I regret it. These rankings couldn’t be more pointless coming from a junior in a mid-ish house. Talk to all different types of fraternities and I guarantee if you like your conversations with one of them, you’d likely really enjoy being a part of them, regardless of their status or their pairings or whatever. Figure out what you’re looking for, and you’ll find it somewhere. If it’s all partying, that may be a top house, but if it’s academic stability and brotherhood, that may be a bottom house. at the end of the day, it’s the brothers in the house and how well you can get along with them and pretty much nothing else matters. I urge you to go around to as many houses as you have time for and try to find what you’re looking for. I’m confident you’ll find it somewhere.
