AXO prioritizes GPA so you would have to have something absolutely stellar to offer to compensate. Also the members in the two sororities you talked to don't represent their chapters, and if they just joined in the fall take what they say with a huge grain of salt because those girls are clueless about recruitment and membership selection from the sorority side. Lying to get a bid is BAD and yes, a chapter will know because they do check before offering one. With all that said, you might as well try because you never know and you have nothing to lose.
