Just some things I've noticed about Greek life I don't see talked about much. Maybe just my opinion but I'm interested to see if people agree: 1. Phi Mu is barely above Pi Phi if we're being real. But the Phi Mus are much meaner than the Pi Phis and unrealistic in their own self-perception. They also descend upon Snu come game day despite Snu's continuous complaints about the Phi Mus(?). 2. Phi Gam and Phi Delt's high ranking is maintained exclusively by the exclusivity they promote with their events. Only inviting two/three sororities to events makes them seem mysterious and desirable. It's honestly smart. 3. ADPi is only considered big four by the girls in ADPi. They are a level below, but that level is still higher than the Zetas below them. 4. AXO, APhi, and Zeta are all pretty much even. Completely different vibes, but in rankings they are equivalent. This may upset girls in Zeta and APhi, though. For some reason. 5. Most of the small frats are fighting to be the "cult favorite"/the small frat of choice for sorority girls when, in reality, the girls do not care. AEPi has gotten close, but their warped self-perception (similar to Phi Mu) makes them unbearable. 6. The addition of a new sorority (supposedly) should be great for our stagnant and tradition-rooted Greek life, but our Greek life will not adapt to it. The new sorority will take on bottom level in the rankings, probably. And this is unfortunate. A shake-up in the rankings could be interesting. 7. PiKapp has the AEPi and Phi Mu problem of faking "high ranking" until they theoretically "make it." The brothers there are generally awful. Maybe this problem persists for all of the small frats (Zete, KSig, SAE) but I couldn't form an opinion on those if I tried. I would have to have gone to those frats to do that 😭 Reminder: Just some opinions. Could be wrong. Probably am wrong!
