i'm not sure how every sorority works, but for mine we have staggered arrival by pledge class at our barn dances and semi's, so I think that could easily be tweaked so that there are less than 50 people there at a time. i also do not see frat parties stopping anytime soon, unless ifc tries to enforce them like they do for unofficial and actually do rounds at each of the houses...which just isn't realistic. i'd also say that it's still worth it to rush. even though you may not have packed events, it won't stop you from meeting at the library with girls in your pledge class, or meeting up with your big for coffee. it's a lot to consider for sure, and i'm not trying to be all 'go greek no matter what'! but for previous introverts such as myself, my sorority is where i came out of my shell and made amazing friends that i'm not sure i would've made otherwise.
