Subject:
freshman vs. sophomore year?

Poster Message:
I'll be a freshman this fall, and I definitely want to join a fraternity, but I'm not sure if I should rush right away or wait until my sophomore year and give myself a year to get settled. Are there any disadvantages to waiting a year? I've heard from some people that it's harder to get into the big houses if you rush as a sophomore--is that the case? Any advice is appreciated.
