I think that quota can be abused because it encourages more pnm's to drop if they don't get pkt or whatever the first time, so they have the option to try again the next year instead of being open minded to all the sororities. We need to support all the sorority chapters and get some more new ones, or we will all collapse together. Honestly, there are so many beautiful smart girls here in every chapter you can't tell them apart based on letters. The mindset is ridiculous. What is really needed is variable quota combined with setting a slightly lower chapter total for a few years. That strategy has proven successful at other schools that had the same narrow minded problems that are at smu and has made much stronger sorority systems with more chapters succeeding at those schools. Panhellenic needs to be proactive.
