Subject:
a review of penn states current greek life

Poster Message:
Although it is no secret that Penn States Greek life has taken a beating in recent years, it is still widely regarded as the most prominent Greek powerhouse outside of the SEC. While new restrictions and rules have put a damper on things, fraternities and sororities continue to flourish. In fact, Penn State is a school revered for its legendary Greek life across the country. Very few schools, including those in the south have a fraternity rush process as competitive as Penn States. Kids who would be in the so callled “top tier” at most other schools end up in mid tier at Penn State. Penn State still has around 40 active social fraternities, which is an incredible number considering all that has happened. The days of having ridiculous 10 ways 3 times per week may be over, but that is not to say Penn State Greek parties aren’t still absolutely ridiculous. They are more similar to a rave than a college party. Every frat has a giant light, sound, and speaker system that are going full blast at socials. You would be hard pressed to find frats at other schools with this intricate of a light and sound system. I end by saying this.... Although the new rules and restrictions suck, be grateful for what you have. Penn State still has one of the best Greek life’s in the country.
