If you didn't fit with a house, it would be wrong for them to take you. A bad fit can ruin the whole pledge class and throw the house's mojo off-kilter for years and years. I saw it happen when I was in a sorority in college. We gave a pity bid to someone "no one else wanted," and she ruined the house. She never fit in and was a pot-stirring troublemaker. Anyone who walks around making things about a political agenda is going to find themselves out in the cold!
