My mom said there a big split in the KDs in the '90s. They've done a great job "building back better." In the '90s, KKG, ADii & ChiO were "on top." AOii, Sigma Kappa & Alpha Xi Delta were still on campus. NOTHING is carved in stone. And a great many chapters have strong sisterhoods. PNMs need to ignore rankings.
