okay so here’s my honest tea on DG, done being nice about it lol: 1. okay so we had genuinely decent looking girls?? like some just ok, a lot cute, and then some who were straight up GORGEOUS. and this isn’t even just me being biased, my bf and his friends said the same thing. 2. i genuinely don’t know who’s running our insta but bestie please stop posting the same 3 unfortunate looking girls in every single story 😭 my boyfriend legit thought the whole chapter was mid until he came to formal and was like “wait… where were THESE girls on the instagram.” like we have instagram influencer type girls, pageant girls, and some aspiring models, use them!! also side note the new recruits have been way prettier than the older girls so maybe this is fixing itself, who knows. 3. sisterhood wise it’s giving “here’s your big, good luck.” i love my big to death don’t get me wrong but outside of big/little there’s like… nothing? no bonding activities, no effort to get the girls to actually be friends with each other. it’s so awkward. 4. we’re just not that active on campus which honestly might be a pro for some people lol but still. 5. and THE FRAT PAIRINGS. omg. they keep matching us with the not so cute frats and i cannot with this anymore. we did this blind date event and they paired my gorgeous friends with genuinely rough looking guys and it was so awkward for everyone, not just the girls tbh, i felt bad for the guys too. like if you’re gonna do a matching event at least TRY to make it make sense, don’t just throw people together for funsies. 6. leadership: PLEASE start arranging socials with some better looking frats, give the girls something to actually look forward to. every social we had this year was just… lame. like no effort, no excitement, nothing memorable. if you’re gonna do these events at least make them worth showing up to. 7. also just to clear something up: when people say DG is “mid” or “lower mid,” it’s not because of a lack of quality girls, at all. it’s because of everything above, weak sisterhood programming, bad social media, not being active on campus, and not putting in effort to actually be involved with other sororities and frats. that reputation is a “leadership and effort” problem, not a “the girls aren’t it” problem.
