If you want girls with a fun/cool/chill vibe. Not traditionally sratty, you can miss chapters, not much pressure to do things, etc. but still go to parties and are highly involved in the social scene. Not a predominant vibe or look that you have to fit into - as long as you like girls during rush you'll find a friend group for you. - Tri-Delt (not as chill on rules but still cool diverse girls), Pi Phi, DG, AXO If you want a fun, crazy, party vibe. The girls I know in these sororities seem really close and love to have fun. From an outsider's perspective it seems like the sisterhoods are strong and these girls really care about and are involved with their sorority (in a good way!) DZ is maybe slightly more relaxed - DZ, Zeta If you want a warm, supportive, chill sisterhood that still has fun events. I feel like these sororities would have fit into with the first category but the girls seem a little quieter, might not want to be going out every single night. There are smaller groups within these sororities who have connections to "higher" tier frats and go out a lot though, even if they don't have regular mixers there. - XO, SK, ADPi If you want a smaller, close-knit sisterhood to make UVA feel more like home. Full disclosure I only know a couple girls in these so it's harder for me to get a thorough grasp on the vibe but they're all super sweet. - KD, SSS If you'd consider yourself quirky and/or are looking for a super LGBT friendly sorority - GPhi If you want girls who are already part of a friend group - Theta, KKG, APhi. Seriously, it sucks to hear, but I have friends in those sororities who weren't part of the main group of girls being rushed and they're constantly excluded and miserable. I like girls in these sororities and almost pledged one but they just don't seem like the most fun time.
