Bernie, I am sorry things got so extra but there are a few things that need to be articulated in a comprehensive and dignified way. I am sorry for what I did. It was not the wise thing to do. That said, you didn’t have the summer I had. What I encountered wasn’t status quo corruption. It was holistic and systematic corruption. It was corruption in places that once there’s corruption, we technically aren’t really a democracy anymore. The reports I made weren’t just lawful they were mandated. Nothing came of them and I was retaliated against and still am. It’s upsetting, dangerous, and it seems to be staying that way if not getting worse. As I was absorbing tons and tons of information last summer it did not occur to me that if I rang your bell you couldn’t just be like ‘Nancy, what’s this about? Get me a full report before lunch.’ The truth is obviously more nuanced and obviously prone to obstruction by a variety of means. Still, I think you should take the time to process the following. If you gathered no information about this - that’s just tragic and beneath you. I’ve supported you a lot in the past and I was hoping for more. Second, if you gathered information that didn’t begin with events of 11/2011 you didn’t get actual information. You got curated details of what makes me look bad and the corrupt look righteous - an inversion. Am I perfect? No. Could I sit here and spell out all of my shortcomings and oversight? If it would be reciprocated, yes I could. I’m adult enough for that. You want to knock down the con man of the 21st century and you can’t apprehend a school yard bully. Think about that, Senator. I’m doing this because I have to. Don’t let anyone hand you thousands of pages of anything. Ask for simple sentences if you ask for anything at all.
