PNMS's: this is NOT true and absolutely does not happen. Recruitment is a system called RFM that makes this scenario impossible. Recruitment is designed to allow as pnm's as possible to get a bid, not to get rid of you! You can drop yourself out of rush but being dropped by all houses only happens to a tiny handful of PNM's who are completely unprepared and have terrible grades.
