Many PNM come on this website looking for information on sororities. I read a great post last night and thought it deserved its own thread. I took the liberty of doing a little editing so if you want to read it in its entirety it is under the TIER SYSTEM thread. "At most universities there is an entrenched tier system, which is often decades old and just plain ridiculous. If you really want to know what any house is like do a little research. Visit the national organization’s website to learn more about what they stand for and value. Each local chapter has a Facebook page, twitter account and tumblr. A simple Google search will provide you with more information than you will find on Greek Rant. You will also find a wealth of information about each UF sorority by Goggling greeks.ufl.edu from the homepage click on the resources tab where you can find grade reports for each semester. The top entry is from PC13. This report includes the number of active sisters, number of new members (NM), GPA for each sub-group, and total number in each house. You may find some surprising information about the Greek Community as a whole. Here is my suggestion, go through rush with an open mind, whether you join a “top”, “middle” or “bottom” tier house, you will find a home away from home. I know it's hard not to get sucked into this website and tent talk during rush but go with your instinct, they won't steer you wrong! Go Gators and Go Greek!
