its vvv different from formal rush. pan holds an information session sometime in january to tell you which houses are eligible for spring recruitment, and you reach out to the rush chairs of ones you want to rush. (spring rush is cool bc you can pick to rush only 1 house or multiple) some of the eligible houses might even need less than 5 girls, so more selective houses might already know the girls who they’re going to bid if they decide to take a spring class. some houses will tell you their spots are full, if this is the case. but other than that, most houses will invite you to open events. you do get “rushed” but it’s way more relaxed and laidback than formal rush. the communication is also not the best … my friend did spring rush and some houses didn’t even let her know that she wasn’t invited back so she had to find out their spring rush was over when they posted their spring bid day pics🥴 that being said, if u know what house you want then spring rush. the only reason i’d say not to take a spring bid is if you want to meet ALL the houses and see where you truly fit best. for the past 3 years, DG is the only top tier sorority to consistently do spring rush— but i know ZTA and AOPI did last year also. of mid tiers — axo, dz, deeph and occasionally pi phi are known for holding spring rush pretty commonly but XO did last year as well. of bottom tiers — all of them hold spring rush except aephi for some reason
