Okay UF Greek Life, literally get over yourselves. Your recruitment is nothing compared to other SEC school’s, so stop trying to force the prestige. You’re not Alabama, you’re not Ole Miss, you’re not Mizzou, you’re not even LSU or UGA - all schools where Alpha Phi has had successful colonizations and have more girls enter formal recruitment. The girls that will go APhi at UF are going to be girls who dropped from rush early on because they didn’t get their “top house,” and girls who didn’t think that Greek life was for them, then saw it was fun and want to give it a chance. The reason that their colonizations are successful is because their recruitment events are organized, well thought out, and encouraging to girls considering Alpha Phi. The main reason that Alpha Phi will (in time) be successful at UF is because of the girls that didn’t go through formal recruitment that now want to give it a try and to have something else on their resume. And to throw in there, girls will like Alpha Phi because they’re a NATIONALLY pretty sorority and the chance to be in a chapter with that reputation is appealing to freshman girls, no matter how shallow that is - and your precious fraternities WILL want to party with the new cute girls. Sorry to be harsh, pan love xxoo
