a new chapter is probably not going to get in any scandals. you have alums and nationals helping out - they aren't going to haze you or whatever. most members are focused on building that chapter up, like they're all gung-ho about volunteering and establishing a name on campus. like for example gphi had many girls join because they care about service, but had already skipped formal recruitment. I guess some individual could go crazy but as a new chapter they'll know to stay out of trouble since nationals is working with them 24/7.
