its called summer b, and its where 75% of the kids who get bids meet guys from the fraternity. Its almost impossible to figure out who a kid really is from rush, and its much easier to figure that out over the course of 6 weeks during summer b. thats why fraternities - and in this case beta - dont feel bad about bidding kids on the first day, because theyve got a chance to be with them all summer to determine if they would be a good fit or not. its not rocket science
