Big/Little pairings aren't done by every group, but they usually mean each new member is paired with at least one specific initiated member who has pledged to assist her newbie with the navigation of her first few weeks in sorority life. Reveal is the common name for the announcement ceremony some groups use to notify the Littles who their Bigs are. Whether a Big stays a permanent friend to her Little after the Little's initiation depends upon their total personalities and interests. I will say most sororities really try and initially match Littles with Bigs who have both time and interest in being whatever 'Big" means to their specific group.
