In my house it can be a big factor but probably not the only one. Your advantage being a legacy is that many houses give legacies an automatic invite to second round. That will make sure you are seen by more than one person and you will certainly meet more during later rounds. There are big legacy drops after second round. The other advantage is many houses have to put legacies top of the bid list for prefs so if you make it to prefs, you may be golden for that house. Bottom line: if they think you won't fit in, you will be dropped.
