I chose UF over UM and it was the best decision of my life. It depends what youre looking for though so ill just make it simple with pros/cons UF Pros: amazing greek life (sorority/frat row, go on roadtrips), college town (Gainesville revolves around UF), cheaper tuition, best gamedays, SPORTS UF Cons: Gville is small (if you're used to the city then there will def be times when youre bored), cops are semi strict with underage drinking if you go to the bars UM Pros: close to the city/beach (there's always something to do), have the opportunity to party at the best clubs/bars, great connections when you graduate, weather UM Cons: ok greek life (sororities don't have houses, frats have off campus houses but the cops are strict due to neighbors complaining all the time), not a college town, high tuition, wouldnt say it gives people a full college experience (if youre from miami it most likely wont, if youre an out of stater then it will)
