ATO and EX have been top a lot longer than beta has, so i guess the "tradition" puts them slightly above beta - same gameday schedule, same socials, same homecoming pairings, etc. For the same reason why ATO and EX are a little better than beta, is the only reason why SAE has ever been considered top for as long as they have. Their tradition as a top house is probably the greatest as UF, and that kept them relevant even when they probably shouldnt have been regarded as highly
