I just graduated this spring and know so many girls who graduated as well, but with absolutely no job or graduate school prospects. In other words, they're sweating BIG TIME. I was in my sorority for three years and although I had fun, I also sacrificed a lot of time and money to be a part of it. Fortunately, my parents were able to pay for it but for those who couldn't do it this way, they ended up with a ton of student loans and nothing to show for it because they were too busy partying their way through college. Some of these girls just planned on getting their MRS degree and failed. Some were too busy going to socials and updating their instagrams to find internships and develop skill sets. Either way, it's now THEIR problem and they have no future prospects. I'm not trying to call these people out and make them feel bad, just trying to say... WAKE UP PEOPLE. Rankings and glitter signs and big/little reveals will no longer be your sole worries before you know it. Please focus on school and make sure you are creating a bright future for yourself after graduation! Fun is good too, but you need to make your education a priority always because I just feel so sad for my friends who are in the position they are in now. Your "friends for life" from your sorority will usually only equate to 2 or 3 girls in the long run anyway, so make sure to put enough effort into your schooling. Rant over!
