Funny thing is a lot of people don’t even know how the nickname Steve-O started. Back in like sophomore year we were all hanging out one night and someone put on a bunch of old Jackass clips on the TV. Steve was watching them and started doing the same kind of dumb fearless stuff around the house — jumping off the pool ledge, doing random stunts, just being chaotic for no reason. Someone jokingly yelled “alright chill out Steve-O” and it just stuck instantly. After that everyone started calling him that. It wasn’t even planned or anything, it just spread because everyone who met him heard someone else say it. Within a few months even people who barely knew his real name were just calling him Steve-O. It’s kind of funny because the nickname started as a joke, but it fit the vibe perfectly. The dude was always the one sending it or doing something random while everyone else just watched. Eventually it got to the point where if someone said “Steve” people didn’t even realize who they meant — it was always just Steve-O. 😭
