I know you desire many posts expressing one or another group to belong to our greek life. However, it is the better idea to allow our current sorority homes breathing room from extension. We have already added three NPC groups between 2014-2018. Our quota number has been lowered by 12 women per house this year. Chapter total lowered to 199, and Kappa might have taken at least chapter total for their colony. Six of our sixteen current groups have been on campus two times I.E. recolonized at some point. Eight NPC groups no longer have chapters here, one of them with FOUR former colonizations and one with THREE (so I doubt those two groups would have interest!). There is also a current, common nationwide downsizing of greek interest and a lowering of undergraduate student enrollment. Many campuses are evaluating the veracity, effectiveness and necessity of continuing to host a greek system. In two years, IF pnm numbers and student interest provide, extension might once again be considered. I'd hate to be the sorority chosen NOW to colonize during the 2020-21 year, as numbers and interest might not be 'there' at that time and a colony would have to be cancelled. NPC groups have individual criteria for accepting to present and then colonize to a campus. Finances, housing, student interest and alumnae involvement availability all affect a colony. More than several groups who are not currently here have limited resources for colonizing on large campuses. Again, there is no need to open for expansion at this time.
