a lot of people will say that the top sororities at state include 6-7 srats but truly there are only 4 tops: sk, dg, zta and adpi. this factors in things like frat relations, retention rates, gpa, socials, involvement, and quality of girls. sk: est 1960, first sorority at state adpi: est 1971, second sorority zta: est 1989, fourth dg: est 2002 zeta: second chapter on campus, with a lot of girls being from nc (charlotte, raleigh, greensboro) with lots of fashion/textiles and design students. lots of in state but take lots OOS girls. more similar to dg than sk and adpi. mixes with snu, lambda, pi kapp, asig adpi: 3rd chapter on campus, lots of older money and legacy girls from charlotte, wilmington and greensboro. don’t really take that many out of state girls unless from richmond or va. vibe is similar to sk, associates with sae, sig chi, lambda, snu sk: first chapter on campus, lots of old money girls from charlotte, raleigh, and wilmington but also smaller towns like rocky mount. lots of debs, very southern/sec adjacent sorority. similar to adpi in some facets, sga vice president is an sk. mixes with lambda, sae, ka. dg: newer chapter but not old at all. gets a lot of good girls from everywhere but lots from charlotte + lkn area. not extremely southern/preppy but still have nc appeal. lots of oos/northern girls, and mix with pikapp, snu, lambda
