Hey, I just thought I would throw some information out there about rush and what I've learned about tiers and Miami Greek Life specifically. I am in a sorority that is considered to be with the "top 6." Honestly, the best ways to tell if your sorority is top tier is not only to see what fraternities you hang out with (top, middle bottom) but also what sororities you do mixers with. For example, Theta, Pi Phi and AXO had their crush party together. DG and KKG had their crush party together. DZ and AXO had an american party together. For example, if your sorority hangs out with Beta, you probably are not top tier, they often hang out with KKG/ChiO etc. During rush, especially in the first few round you won't REALLY be able to tell which sororities are top tier and which ones are middle ( I could immediately tell the bottom ones because I FELT awkward). Enjoy the first round, realize that a lot of Miami sororities are the same, and that even ending up in KD over THETA is not going to make or break anything about your college experience. Maybe I'll post more later, just thought I would put it out there.
