If you're only joining a sorority for superficial reasons, then maybe. Every girl involved in greek life has friends in every single sorority, and every single sorority has its positives and negatives. If you're worried about other people's perception of you, don't--I've never heard a greek woman refuse to be friends with another girl because she thought she was in a "bad" sorority. As is true with life in general, most people are too wrapped up in their own worries and anxieties and insecurities to care much about that sort of stuff, and any sort of feelings of being less than other girls in other organizations is really self-made. No one will brand you a loser for being in any particular sorority because every sorority has amazing girls and does great things on campus, so do you!!
