Agree with this. Also you don't know if you will love your legacy chapter the more you get to know them. Keep an open mind and be your best self (not pretend to be someone you are not). Try to get to know the chapters and let them get to know you. Chances are you will find a chapter you connect with. If not, you could decide not to receive a bid after pref and COB elsewhere after primary recruitment. (You would be eligible for a snap bid, but those are rare, so don't count on those.). Also keep in mind that often one doesn't get to really know their chapter until at least the first semester, so if you do accept a bid, give yourself time to get to know your chapter and pledge class. Think about it-- most good friendships take time to develop. Have fun and good luck!
