This is something for you guys to think about when rushing. I recently graduated and I'm heading to law school in California. When I rushed I went to the fraternity that I had the most connections to and just assumed it was good everywhere and it would open doors for me after graduation. Unfortunately that's not true my fraternity which was amazing at Clemson is terrible nationally. Most of the guys in my incoming law school class were SX, SAE, Sig Ep or Lambda Chi and it seems like those are the one's that really help you in your career. One of my best friends who was in Sigma Chi has been able to tap into an amazing alumni network and get a great job in finance in New York. Since Clemson is missing most of the big nationals now I don't really have a solution but here's what I've seen since I've been working in other states and interviewing for law schools. KS - sort of middle or upper middle most places ATO - generally bad everywhere except top tier in Florida Phi Delt - Mixed bag sometimes Top Tier sometimes terrible. depends really if its a dry house, national rules, or not KA - strong all over the south but no where else AGR - never seen another chapter at all Beta - like KS sort of middle tier most places, top at Chapel Hill and in the plains states though Pi Kapp - has more top tier or upper middle chapters than not. DX - no idea, met some guys from Cornell that seemed ok. Delt - seems terrible most places ASig - garbage except at Michigan Theta Chi - pretty good overall. I was surprised by this, top at Michigan Phi Sig - garbage Fiji - generally really good everywhere, especially the Northeast, Texas & Va Chi Phi - looked bad most places but were solid at UGa, Chapel Hill & UVa Chi Psi - they looked like frat stars everywhere. don't know why ours is so bad. the other's I didn't see or meet anyone from. None of this matters if you're going to stay in SC but if you expect your letters to help you out latter then think about it.\n\n\n\n\n
