from my girlfriend's dad who graduated in 1971 there were the original 8 locals who were housed in the upper quad. all started in the early 60s and then in the 70s the lower quad, Norris Hall, was filled in with much smaller frats, 10-20 members each. The quad - "Big Four" numeral society (SAE) - was the first frat by 5 years - most exclusive phi kapp (KA) - old money deacons (ATO) - "rowdy decs," the party frat chis (sigma nu) - athletes The quad - "others" zetas (pike) - try hards, student government guys delta phi (phi delt) - guys who didn't get in Chis snappers (KS) - guys who didn't get in Deacons ?? - Beta Norris Frats - smaller, 10-20 members AG (Sig Ep) Chi Lam (Theta Chi) Beta Sig (Chi Psi) ?? - Fiji
