I'm a second year going on junior in a dry fraternity about to drop because I won't even be 21 until next may and by that most of my college experience will be gone. I was lied to going in and want people rushing to get the full picture so you make a better decision. I have a 4.0 GPA and every frat has good connections after college so you can be successful even in the more fun frats. If you don't care about social lives then cool you're good. But at a difficult school it really helps mental health having a good safe place to have fun each weekend. My pledge class is cliqued up by which different frats they hang with and we get into fist fights constantly. The SAE friends don't like the SX friends who don't like the pike friends who don't like the ks friends. Pick a good brotherhood with at least halfway decent social lives outside of tailgates. Otherwise you will be stuck in your dorm all year waiting for a better frat to have an open invite party. In order KS, Pike SN, Fiji, SAE SX, ATO, KA PDT, Beta, TKE, SigEp OX, PKP, ChiPhi DX, ThetaXi, DU, AEPi AEPi, PSK, PKT, ChiPsi Zete, Lambda, DeltaSig, AlphaSig KS and Pike have been 1 and 2 for awhile now and that's not changing anytime soon imo. SN gets less tech girls, Fijis guys lacks, SAEs house lacks. ATO SX and KA are all solid but ATO needs to stay out of trouble, KA needs to be cool with having non white girls around and dating bros, and SX needs to update or fix up their house, it would be debatable top 3 or 5 with renovations. PhiDelt is dry, Beta is dry, TKE guys drop off after 2 or 3 years of partying, and SogEp is dry. All get girls and are solid guys though. TKE is the only one with good events without joints. Next tier is solid but less tech girls around and the guys are a definite drop of 50% of the time. Last tier you'll hear about and they will have 1 or 2 nights a semester where they rage face but other than that are small and rarely have tech girls around.
