Subject:
If You're A Rushee for Summer/Fall 2026, Read This

Poster Message:
I decided to make this post for a couple reasons: one, I remember being a rushee and trying to figure out which places to check out (it sucks), and two, Kappa Sig keeps ranking themselves first and it's pissing me off. After being at Tech for two years, here's the truth: there is no "touse". That being said, there are six consistently good fraternities here that all have their pros and cons and are all about equal. Here are those houses, in no particular order, and some of their pros and cons: Pi Kappa Alpha (Pike): Well-regarded on campus for being a good-looking group of guys who are very socially focused. Known for having pretty good parties, mixing particularly with APhi, and their philanthropy boxing match, Fight for Life. They have the IFC President, so they'll probably get a good football block. Pros: Good social events, have a cult following from some specific groups of girls. Cons: Tend to give bids to guys based on how they look and multiple Pikes debrother every year due to a weaker brotherhood Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji): Well-regarded on campus as a friendly group of guys who are work hard/play hard; academically focused but have good social events. Tend to mix with Zeta, ADPi, and Phi Mu. Well-known for good tailgates, a big front patio, and large registereds. Have SGA president so will probably also get a good football block. Pros: Has objectively the biggest solo frat party of the year, Island Week, very brotherhood focused, slightly more diverse with some international students Cons: Somewhat antisocial, almost never has combined parties with other fraternities Beta Theta Pi (Beta): Good group of moderate to conservative, take-home-to-mom type of guys. Have a historic, pretty house near the football stadium, great tailgates and a big front yard. Mixes mainly with APhi and Zeta. Pros: One of the prettiest houses on campus, known for being friendly and well-connected on campus, fairly academically focused Cons: Beta is a nationally dry house, so tend not to have large parties, just small invite-only events Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE): Known for being preppy, well-off Atlanta kids that still have a classic southern vibe. Have a smaller more historic house, but a good space for parties in the back lot. Tends to mix with ADPi. Pros: Has one of the biggest combined parties in the fall, Jungle, where they usually bring out a cool artist, very legacy-focused Cons: Known for being kind of douchey and tend to be very closed off during Rush Sigma Chi: Your traditional fraternity. Good, fraternal, smart enough guys with a cool historic house close to the freshman dorms. Tends to mix with ADPi, Zeta, and APhi. Fairly friendly guys who like drinking and playing games in their front yard. Pros: Has good connections for combined parties and has a dedicated group of girls who really enjoying going there Cons: Unironically fraternal to the point that most of the brothers have a frat accent Kappa Alpha (KA): Known for being the a rural Southern frat with a huge classic house near the Tech Square bridge. Tends to mix almost exclusively with ADPi. Typically moderate to very conservative, Christian guys. Pros: Hosts Techwoodstock, which is the biggest combined frat concert of the year Cons: Is known to be racist and APhi is not allowed to mix with them nationally Hopefully this helps. The OnlyWillage poll (it's kinda BS) this year had Pike, Beta, Fiji, and SAE voted the top 4 fraternities, but any of these 6 are a good place to check out.
