Legacy status matters more if your connection is a Baylor alum and has remained active (financially and/or time wise) as an alum. This happens more often with the really established chapters here. But even with that it’s not an absolute guarantee. If your mom was a Kappa at Whatever U and has mostly forgotten about it - then it doesn’t really matter.
