Sororities don’t recognize the validity of tiers. And they want to know whether tiers are real or arbitrary. Here’s the deal. The sorority structure at FSU exactly parallels the FSU fraternity structure. The top tier fraternities and sororities match with each other. The middle tier fraternities and sororities match with each other, and the bottom tiers pair up together. It would be mean to ask the obvious questions, but for instance, when was the last time bottom tier sorority “A” matched with top tier fraternity “B”? And vice versa? The answer is “never”. If you’re in a sorority and you want to know where your chapter stands tier-wise, ask yourself, “What men from which fraternities hang around our house?”
