Honesty about UH in 2018

It used to be WAY better socially, you're about three years too late, bud. But to be fair, ASU as a whole has died down considerably, especially the last 3+ years(really since 2013). Back to University house tho, you can still find people who like to drink and hang out daily, but there are definitely options that are better now if you're looking solely for a social place to live. I know people in the Penthouse, and even they get noise complaints, and whenever we'd hang in the lobby or walk around the floors the people and vibe were more of a regular college study place than the rowdy party place we moved into as freshman. The guest rules are insane now if they care to regulate, so keep that in mind if you think you're gonna throw a rager in your apartment because it's not 2013 anymore, you're not getting away with it. Plenty of better places, like Rise, District, 922 Place, or Cottages. But UH isn't terrible, just don't expect it's past reputation.
