Even though DZ’s are cool, fun girls, let’s be honest and say they aren’t the most wholesome group of young women. Most people who go DZ do it for social reasons only. After 2 years, everyone has found their friends and are over the superficial side of Greek life, so they drop. Girls in other sororities like Theta, Pi Phi & APhi do it for reasons other than partying, which is why their retention rates are higher. DZ needs to do spring rush every year because of how many girls drop.
